The production of glass bottles involves multiple precision steps and requires a systematic technological process. The following is a typical production process:

Raw Material Preparation: The core raw materials required for production include quartz sand, soda ash, and limestone. Enterprises must strictly screen and inspect these raw materials to ensure their physicochemical properties meet production specifications.

Based on product performance and appearance requirements, appropriate amounts of clarifying agents, colorants, and other auxiliary materials are added to optimize the glass's transmittance, color, and structural uniformity.

Ingredient Batching and Mixing: The inspected and qualified raw materials are added to a mixing device according to a predetermined ratio. Mechanical stirring achieves thorough homogenization of the raw materials, providing a uniform mixture for subsequent melting.

High-Temperature Melting: The mixture is fed into a furnace and melted into liquid glass at a high temperature exceeding 1500°C. During this process, the molten glass must be continuously stirred to remove air bubbles and impurities, ensuring the purity and chemical homogeneity of the molten glass.

Forming Process: The molten glass enters the forming section via a feeding system. Common processes include blow molding and pressing.

Glass blowing involves injecting molten glass into a mold and using compressed air to conform it to the mold cavity shape. This method is suitable for producing bottles with complex curvatures and intricate structures.

Pressure forming uses a punch to apply pressure to the molten glass within the mold, quickly forming a fixed shape. This method is often used for manufacturing simple containers such as cups and cylinders.

Annealing: After forming, the glass bottles are placed in an annealing furnace and subjected to slow temperature increases, decreases, and holds according to a preset temperature curve to eliminate residual internal stress and improve the product's mechanical strength and thermal stability.

Inspection and Packaging: Annealed products undergo multiple quality control procedures, including appearance inspection, dimensional verification, and strength testing. Qualified products are packaged using shock-resistant materials to ensure they remain intact during storage and transportation.

Glass bottle manufacturing is a complex system engineering project integrating materials science, thermal technology, and mechanical control. With continuous upgrades in process equipment and increasing demands for green production, the industry is constantly promoting technological optimization and energy-saving transformation to achieve more efficient and environmentally friendly manufacturing goals.
